Education:

Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Marmara University Law Faculty in 2014.

Completed a Master of Laws (LLM) program, specializing in Intellectual and Industrial Property Law at Istanbul Bilgi University Economy Law program in 2019, where she conducted academic studies in numerous fields, particularly Trademark, Copyright, Obligations, and Contract Law. Her thesis titled, “Revocation of Trademark and Grounds for Revocation” was published as a book in the field of Intellectual and Industrial Property Law in 2019.

During her Master’s education, she took a course on International Intellectual Property Law from WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) and qualified for the certificate given by WIPO after successfully completing the course.

Commenced Doctor of Jur. (Ph.D.) education in Private Law from Istanbul Bilgi University in 2023.

Experience:

Registered in the Istanbul Bar Association as a legal attorney in 2014.

Participated in research work by joining the Copyright and Trademark-Designs Working Groups of the Istanbul Bar Association’s Intellectual and Industrial Rights Commission.

Registered as a Trademark Attorney with the Turkish Patent and Trademark  Institution with registration number 2530. Provides legal consultancy on trademark, geographical indication, design, and processes the procedures on behalf of the applicants on the Institution in these matters.

Registered as a mediator under the Ministry of Justice. 

Publications:

“Revocation of Trademark and Grounds for Revocation” was published in the field of trademark law in 2019. The book discusses the new administrative revocation procedure introduced in Turkish Law with the Industrial Property Code, which harmonizes Turkish Law with European Union Law. It explains the four grounds for revocation and examines the doctrine and practical decisions taken in the context of revocation of trademark, including comparison with EU Law and Constitutional Court decisions.

“Revocation of Trademark” was published in Lexpera Blog in 2020.

“Author’s Right of Rescission” in “Istanbul Bar Association Intellectual and Industrial Rights Commission Special Publication” was published in 2020.

Doctor of Jur. (PhD) in Private Law from Istanbul Kultur University, in 2018. Conductedacademic studies in the fields of Companies, Competition, Financial Leasing, andInternational Transportation Law. His thesis, titled “Transformation of Capital Companies,” was published as a book in the field of corporate law.

Professional Experience:

Registered in the Istanbul Bar Association as a legal attorney in 2009.

Founder and former Chairman of the Executive Board of the Besiktas Branch of theConsumer Rights Association (2011-2020).

One of the first mediators in Turkey (since 2014).

Legal expert in Commercial, Labour, Consumer, and Bankruptcy, Law in the Istanbul Court (since 2015).

Publications:

Transformation of Capital Companies was published in the field of corporate law in 2019. This book explores the concept of changing the legal form in equity capital companies, with a focus on the Turkish Trade Codes, the Federal Law of Switzerland, and the French Commercial Codes. It examines the reasons for transformation, transactions required for legal form change, and legal consequences for shareholders, employees, and creditors.

Commentary on Corporate Law is four-volume book set that was published in the field of corporate law in 2023. This book, the first corporate law commentary work in Turkey, waswritten by 47 commercial law professors from different law faculties, under the editorship of Prof. Dr. Kemal ŞENOCAK. The commentary aims to guide the reader by offering solutionsto practical issues, drawing on the views in Swiss and German Law as well as the authors’ own studies. The book presents a comprehensive doctrinal review and explanation of how practice should be conducted in this area.
